Jacqui Tompkins

Financial Consultant

Jacqueline is a highly experienced education finance consultant with specialisms in financial effectiveness, efficiency and probity. She has over twenty years’ experience working in schools’ finance in all sectors. After a successful career in banking Jacqueline moved into school business management before undertaking a role in Local Authority supporting school business managers throughout the authority. Returning to schools, Jacqueline project managed the conversion to trust and academy status for several schools before working as both Chief Finance Officer and Chief Operating Officer in three Multi-Academy Trusts.

Jacqueline was accredited as a School Resource Management Adviser in the ESFA’s pilot, working successfully to identify cost savings across a range of academies, UTCs, LAs and MATs. As a fellow of the Institute of School Business Leaders (ISBL), Jacqueline has undertaken accreditation of SRMAs and the quality assurance of SRMA reports. She also delivers DfE training in Integrated Curriculum Financial Planning (ICFP) both face to face and in on-line Webinars.

Jacqueline now provides educational consultancy to schools, MATs and Local Authorities on a range of school business, financial and curriculum issues. Jacqueline has centralised services across a number of MATs and has advised other MATs on the appropriate processes and structures.

As a qualified by the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts (CIMA) Jacqueline holds a BA (Hons) degree in Leadership and Management and is also a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner.
